The 1st through the 15th day in the final month of 1371
The heroes of Harrowhoff and their retainers set off to seek Linfall in the Changing Forest. They traveled through the cold and grey Meadowlands and arrived at Hal's Hill, where they received a warm welcome from the hobbits.
Finally, they arrived in the deep and disorienting forest east of the Shadow Mountains. There they found the twisted manse of Linfall. They met the sorcerer's weretiger retainers led by Vasra who inquired about the location of the weretigeress, Aranka.
Linfall himself proved to be quite odd. He spoke to himself as though two minds were housed within his head. Nevertheless, he agreed to show them the ritual of the brazier if the heroes were able to steal the egg of a green dragon.
The party set off south into the forest near the foothills and there they found the deep cavern of the dragons. They climbed down and though invisible, they were found by a great beast. Heironymous boldly attempted to charm the beast with sorcery but failed and the beast breathed a terrible cloud of gas upon the heroes. Heironymous and Welborn were both killed. Visefrin barely survived.
Fidlthid meanwhile stole the egg and the group made their retreat. Later Taran slipped back in to recover the corpses of the two that were killed.
Later, Linfall showed Taran how to conjure a powerful but dangerous fire elemental from the brazier. He told her also that Brieberus had the power to bring Herionymous and Welborn back to life. You see, Linfall was quite enamored by the beautiful thaumaturgist.
The party then traveled to Verdengard by pulling a magic leaf from the branch. They compelled Brieberus to reincarnate their dead, and he did so. Welborn became a gnome, and Heironymous became a beautiful centaur.
On the way back they met Aranka, who was horrified to learn that Vasra knew her hiding place. Brave sir Fidlthid stayed with her and her warriors and clashed with Vasra and his band. Several weretigers were killed, but the lecherous Vasra escaped to the Changing Forest.
