The Waters of Kilgar

Late Summer - 29th day of Marissa - 11th day in the month of Dani 1371

The heroes of Tandis won a great victory in the Dunlands. The Black Talon legion was broken, drowned beneath the Falls of Kilgar, or hunted as they scattered southward. Two heathen lords and their subjects were baptized by Bishop Visefrin. Over a thousand Dunfolk were bathed in the same waters that slew their erstwhile foes.

Visefrin baptizes the heathensKing Oddi of Dunmorg and Egilrik of Duncrag fought beside the heroes as they stormed the dam atop Kilgar and slew scores of orcs and ogres. The leader of the boar men, Hinkar, was there too when the foul sentries of the levee were slain. It was during this bold sortie that Oddi first witnessed the power of the gods of Law wielded by Visefrin

The hero, Ridwulf of Duncrag (now the wielder of Engryn) hacked and hacked at the dam's burning support beam, and barely escaped with his life when the timbers finally gave way.

Oh, how the waters poured over Kilgar Falls drowning orcs in their burrows and sundering their foul machines!

After three days of feasting and baptisms, the heroes returned to Tandis. There Welborn found Sabira in her final days of pregnancy. Sabira told her lord husband of a dream. She dreamed that she would give birth to a girl child with white-blond hair. She thought this strange as Sabira herself was so very dark of hair.
